Transportation Terms and Conditions
Review the terms of use of our website and services.
These clauses constitute all the terms and conditions of the transportation contract entered into between the Client/Passenger and La Sultana Autobuses.
Upon the issuance of the travel ticket, the Client/Passenger expressly accepts and fully acknowledges the following general contracting clauses and the fare table in effect at the time of ticket issuance:
Travel Ticket
Upon issuance of the travel ticket, the Passenger is responsible for verifying that all the details stated on it conform to their request and accepts the general contracting clauses for travel tickets.
The travel ticket is personal and non-transferable, being the only valid proof for travel on the printed date and time.
In case of ticket loss, the Passenger may request a duplicate at the counter of our terminals, free of charge.
Changes and postponements will be accepted up to 4 hours before the scheduled travel time indicated on the travel ticket.
All change or postponement requests must be made in person, presenting the original ID and travel ticket, at any of our offices nationwide and within its business hours.
La Sultana Autobuses does not provide refunds or money returns, only postponements or reschedules according to the previous conditions.
La Sultana Autobuses grants a maximum validity period of 06 months for open-date tickets, from the day of issuance. The ticket may be changed in date, time, route, or service, subject to price variation or additional charge due to the change. Once activated, it cannot be postponed again.
Tickets and/or boarding passes presented by anyone other than the printed name will be considered void and confiscated.
Children under 13 years old, pregnant women, and elderly people (65 years and older) may not travel in panoramic seats on the bus.
Travel Fares
Ticket prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Discounts and promotions are not cumulative or combinable.
All fares are quoted in soles unless otherwise indicated.
Luggage in Storage and Inside the Bus
The Passenger is entitled to a maximum of 2 pieces of luggage, weighing up to 20 kilograms per ticket, which may consist of suitcases, bags, and/or backpacks for personal use.
Excess luggage will be accepted if the bus capacity allows it, subject to an additional charge per extra kilo.
In the cabin or inside the bus, only one piece of hand luggage is allowed, which may be a backpack, bag, or briefcase weighing up to 10 kilograms.
Traveling with cardboard boxes, plastic containers, or laundry sacks is not allowed.
La Sultana Autobuses is not responsible for valuables not declared at boarding and transported as luggage.
La Sultana Autobuses is not responsible for items forgotten in buses or terminals, nor for lost luggage inside the bus. Its care is the sole responsibility of the Passenger.
No responsibility will be accepted for the loss, breakage, damage, or deterioration of any transported item.
The Passenger may not carry prohibited items by law that may endanger passenger safety. It is the Passenger`s obligation to allow and facilitate the company staff to inspect their hand luggage and themselves.
Transportation in the storage or cabin is not allowed for:
Illegal drugs, chemicals, and/or toxic substances
Illegal weapons, firearms, explosives, and/or flammable objects
The transportation of pets is allowed in their own carrier, which must comply with relevant safety regulations and be properly conditioned and clean as follows:
It must have ventilation holes.
It must have a metal door with a double lock preventing the pet from inserting its snout or paws through the gap.
It cannot have wheels.
It must have a waterproof absorbent base, leak-proof, and with proper ventilation.
The passenger's pet must travel in the bus storage area with a valid health certificate.
Pets must remain in their carrier throughout the journey. Passengers must bring bags, paper towels, and cleaning supplies to prevent odors, as well as gloves to remove waste from the carrier during the trip.
During the Trip
Carrying luggage on the seat is not allowed; hand luggage must be placed in the overhead compartment or under the passenger's seat to avoid blocking passage.
All passengers must remain seated until the bus driver indicates they may disembark.
Smoking is prohibited on buses and in La Sultana Autobuses offices.
Boarding Process
Passenger boarding and disembarkation will only take place at authorized terminals or stations.
Passengers must arrive 1 hour before the bus departure time to check in their luggage. Once the bus has departed, postponements or refunds will not be available.
At boarding, passengers must present their travel ticket and identification document.
During the Trip

Children
Babies or infants under 3 years old travel for free and do not have an assigned seat.
Children aged 3 to 4 years are eligible for a reduced fare. From the age of 5 onwards, minors must travel in their own seat and pay the full adult fare.
Any minor (under 18 years old) traveling alone or with a guardian (0 to 17 years old) must present a Notarized Travel Authorization, along with their ID or Birth Certificate, and a copy of the ID of the parent(s) who signed the authorization. This authorization allows a designated adult to accompany the minor on a provincial trip. A copy of this authorization, along with a copy of the guardian's ID and the accompanying adult`s ID, must be submitted before departure.
Minors under 18 years of age who cannot care for themselves must be accompanied by a person over 18 years old.
Passengers traveling under La Sultana Autobuses`s guidance will not be eligible for reduced-fare tickets.
Adults
Elderly or senior passengers who cannot care for themselves must be accompanied by a person over 18 years old.
Passengers may not travel under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, or if their health condition is visibly unsuitable for travel (unless a medical certificate is provided), resulting in the forfeiture of their ticket value.
La Sultana Autobuses may deny service to passengers if:
The passenger fails or refuses to comply with La Sultana Autobuses`s rules and regulations.
The passenger behaves in a disorderly or violent manner.
The passenger is not fully dressed or is partially unclothed.
The passenger obstructs the driver`s duties.
The passenger`s behavior poses a threat to themselves or others.
Service
Scheduled times are based on local time zones. Departure dates and times are subject to change.
La Sultana Autobuses is not responsible for delays caused by breakdowns, road conditions, weather, or any other circumstances beyond the carrier's control.
La Sultana Autobuses is not responsible for expenses incurred due to delays.
Passengers are covered by the mandatory insurance policy contracted by La Sultana Autobuses.
Privacy Policy
La Sultana Autobuses does not sell or share personal or financial information with third parties. However, personal and/or financial information may be shared with third parties as necessary for the following purposes:
Processing credit card transactions and fraud prevention necessary for ticket purchases.
Legal or compliance purposes with a government agency, law enforcement, subpoena, and/or as required by law.
La Sultana Autobuses collects and uses full names, phone numbers, and email addresses to secure and purchase bus tickets.
Full names are required for printing or displaying on boarding passes, among other security purposes.
Phone numbers are necessary for emergency communication, itinerary updates, and reservation confirmations via SMS.
Email addresses are necessary for electronic ticket delivery and/or for travel-related policies, marketing, and itinerary updates.
We collect, use, and disclose personal information to provide you with the service requested and to offer additional services that we believe may be of interest to you.
The purposes for collecting personal information will be identified before or at the time of collection. In certain circumstances, the purposes may be obvious, and consent may be implied, such as when providing your name, address, and payment information as part of the ticket purchase process.
